It’s something in the air at Agawak, of this I am convinced, my first summer back on these grounds in 40 years. During my ten summers at Agawak as a girl, I met campers that remain my closest friends, decades later.

And to you my new Agawak friends, thank you for welcoming me back to my summer home, a magical place on the shores of Blue Lake where lifelong bonds are formed, where a girl's character is formed, where memories are formed in our hearts, and last forever.

I have been so inspired by what is unchanged at Agawak, that Mary, the head staff, campers and counselors love and support each other with the same intensity that we did long ago. As we all are about to return to our other lives, may this magic and love serve as a comfort zone, a reservoir that will fuel you throughout the year until we return again for Summer 2015.
