Blue and White Capture the Flag

Today Agawak got off to a Lazy-Sunday start! Some decided to sleep all the way until the bell at 10:30 while others were up bright and early in line for pancakes-to-order. Josie Lowell enjoyed her big stack of chocolate chippers! A morning movie in Happy Camper Hall was also an option for early risers.

At 10:30 the bell rang and we all gathered at the flagpole to get ready for an ‘active sign-up’. Active sign-up is when the girls have to go to the different activity locations to sign up for each activity. This kept the girls active and on their feet! We will start these activities tomorrow – full speed ahead!

This afternoon was an activity called “food-Olympics”!  It’s a lot of fun, but the girls can get, how may we say, a little messy!  All I can tell you is there was chocolate, skittles, ice cream, whip cream, etc.  after all the ‘fun’, the girls came down for a much needed free swim, to both clean and refresh!  While all this was going on, our seniors were in town doing a scavenger hunt.  They were given various clues with the different shops and businesses and land marks holding the answers.  But at the end of the afternoon, they all convened to island city ice cream for rewards and refreshments.  Once everyone was back in camp, we dined on Ducky’s ‘Thanksgiving’ feast.  Turkey, rolls, corn, mashed potatoes, stuffing, salad, etc.   Yes, the girls don’t go hungry here at Camp!

After dinner, the entire camp rolled over to Kawaga for the crazy Capture the Flag.  Typically we play Capture the Flag at camp but this year we decided to plan it at camp Kawaga in hopes of having the intensity return. Needless to say blue and white competition was at its best tonight! When the buses got all the girls back, we had one tired camp on our hands after another fun filled day.  The forecast for tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous, so it’s activities for the next two days.  It’s crazy how fast time is flying, but we still have a lot on our schedule, and as soon as it happens here, we’ll tell you out there!

It’s late, camp is quiet, so from me and the office staff, a pleasant good night to all!!!

Smile on,
