Extra, Extra Read All About It!

  • Pre-camp packets were mailed out! If you didn’t receive yours and you are already officially registered for this summer– please call the camp office as soon as possible at: 715-356-5383.
  • New campers and returning campers need to be registered with their local Walgreens Pharmacies before camp begins. This will speed up the process in case we need to fill a prescription for your daughter while she is at camp.
  • Reminder: As per Agawak tradition, white tops (either polo shirts or v-neck tops) and navy blue bottoms (shorts or skirts) are required for lunch and dinner on Sundays.  Checkout our website ‘Store’ to order your v-necks and polo's early!
  • Online photos for this summer will be again uploaded to SMUGMUG.com (follow the link from our website).  The gallery is password protected for our campers’ privacy, so camp families will need to log-in to view and/or order prints.  The 2015 log-in password is: ‘smileon1921’.

Director’s Corner:

I am anxiously awaiting for camp to begin.  The days are getting longer, temperatures are slowly rising and snow piles are melting. I’m excited to get the camp environment ready for adventure and summer fun. I truly believe if we could bring the camp environment to school, more kids would succeed. Camp teaches kids so many life lessons not found in a textbook. Camp teaches kids that they can! It helps conquer fears. The camp environment is real– your daughter unplugs and connects with real people. Camp expands a child’s abilities.  Camp helps kids discover who they are and what they want to become. It builds teamwork and instills confidence. Camp gets kids back outside where they belong and creates friendships. The benefits of attending a traditional overnight camp are too numerous to mention. Camp is a haven for personal growth and I look forward to helping you grow and expand your horizons this summer. Can’t wait to see you all really soon!

A Beautiful New Lodge Floor

After 95 years, the lodge floor is leaning & shifting towards the lake. We are in the process of straightening it out and adding a new hardwood floor. Six thousand square feet of hardwood is currently being stained on site. Once complete, Brandon & Tyler (our maintenance extraordinaire’s) will begin the task of hand-laying each individual board on the floor.  The final product is going to be stunning.
