Rainy Wednesday

Camp Director

Wednesday, at dinner time (6pm), the clouds rolled in and we experienced the heaviest rainfall I can recall in many summers. Thank goodness we were all assembled in the lodge eating spaghetti and singing songs. The majority of cabins have completed physicals and swim tests. The staff show was a BIG hit and we will be signing up for activities this afternoon.

Tonight we will reveal to new campers their Blue or White Team color. Our 2012 CIT’s (counselors in-training) are waiting anxiously for Blue and White Team captains to be announced. Four of them will be getting wet early this evening when last year’s captains will push this year’s captains in. I remember, like it was yesterday, this group coming to camp for the very first time. Now they stand before us as the oldest campers in camp.

We have had so many hits on our website the past two days that our server is experiencing an overload and can’t handle the demands being placed on it. My web provider is aware of this problem and is currently working overtime to reroute our site to a new server. Please be patient. We have all the pictures ready to post but the site keeps going down before we get them all in their folders. Due to the high volume of users, the site goes down and we lose all our work and have to begin loading all the pictures again. We want this situation to be rectified more than anyone so hang in there it’s being addressed.

I see campers running everywhere outside my office window. Camp is finally alive. Life at camp is great.

Happy Thursday,

Mary and Staff
