Treasure Hunt (Part II)

Both teams were neck and neck around 12:10am working on Clue #14. The clue was a white cheese shaped small house. The Blue Team asked to go across the lake to the old Swiss Village where clue #15, a dead fish placed in a bucket of ice, was waiting for them.  Meanwhile…..back at camp the White Team continued to struggle with this clue. The White Team ends up going to three different locations in camp before asking their chief for permission to head to the Swiss Village.

Clue #15 takes the Blue Team 10 attempts to figure it out. Then they receive a 3 minute talking penalty. The Blue Team also decides to take a 7 minute penalty and receives another clue from their chief. The 2nd clue is a picture of a coy pond.  The Blue Team finally heads to my pond outside my house.

Around 1am the White Team now has their fish and is trying to figure out where they should go.  They decide to head to the fishing area and come up empty handed. The White Team decides to take a 7 minute penalty to get a hint. They head to my pond outside my house.
Clue #16 is a container of Yoplait with 2 AA batteries and a picture of Mitt-romnie. The Blue Team gets it right away and heads to the softball diamond.  White Team figures out Clue #16 a few minutes behind the Blue Team.

At the softball diamond is clue #17…. a UK flag in black paint placed in a white bucket.  It takes the Blue Team three attempts and the White Team tries 4 different areas and takes a 7 minute penalty and another 9 minute penalty.  The White Team falls further behind. Both teams eventually figured out they need to head to the dark room. Britt Black is our camp photographer.

It’s almost 2am. We all lose track of time and are exhausted.

Next clue #18 was for the senior staff on each team.  “Sorry you didn’t make the cut to be chief. Hope this makes up for it.” The clue leads them to the Hunan Chinese restaurant. The Blue &White Team staff had to eat the cold Chinese food awaiting them until they were given the next clue. The Blue Team is pulling further ahead.

Clue # 19 was 5 different random bays, 4 different random heights, and a half & half carton with half & crossed off, leaving only half. The answer was related to a simple geometry equation ½ Base * Height = the area of a triangle, and what triangle does everyone at Camp Agawak know?  The grassy triangle of course.

The CIT Blue Team gets their last clue before the White Team CIT’s. It’s an equation with variables from around camp. It leads the Blue Team to the kayaks. At the Kayaks there are 10 different poems leading to 10 different areas in camp.

The last poem: Two by two, by two by two, our colors are black and blue.  This leads them the Blue Team to the trampball area where they find the names of Indian tribes (Cherokee, Aztec and Apache). The White Team is a full clue behind. The Blue Team requests to head to the Tepee.  The treasure is waiting for them. At 4:08am the Blue Team wins treasure hunt for the first time in time since the summer of 2010! Congratulations Blue Team.
