What a weekend!

Saturday was a fun day jammed with lots of activity. Campers participated in the annual Agawak Color Run and enjoyed a game of Blue and White balloon battle. Our Blue and White Commissioners (Kiley Isaacson, Jacqui Levitan and Lindsay Fisher) have been working extra hard this last week organizing some amazing Blue and White games for the summer.  Part of our morning was spent at the waterfront and we ended our day on the waterfront where we announced our evening social.  Last night, tepee extraordinaire, Margie Gordon, had the tepee “filled to the rim” with campers from cabins 10, 2 and 5 who opted out of our social with Camp Kawaga.  While most of us were dancing up a storm they were roasting marshmallows, making s'mores, stargazing and playing games around the campfire.

Today, was our first lazy breakfast. Ducky was flipping flapjacks left and right made to order.  Campers got to choose from blueberry, chocolate chip, banana, strawberry, cinnamon and plain pancakes. Campers wait all year long for Ducky’s delicious homemade pancakes...the most popular being chocolate chip.

The morning was spent in clinics from 10:30-12:30. This consisted of various open program areas including sailing, indoor cooking, arts and crafts, trampball, jogging, paddle boarding and skiing. We entered lunch hungry for homemade gluten-free chicken noodle soup, chicken slider sandwiches and a full salad bar.  Our new turkey deli sandwich bar has been a big hit!!

At lunch, we announced our weekly campfire girls. Tonight we will sit around the glow of the campfire, listen to a few agalogs and campfire girl speeches and of course we will sing our hearts out.  The day will be done...we will go to bed exhausted and look forward to another fun-filled day together at Agawak.
