Good morning (parents and friends of) campers!!!!

MP here again.  We are just a few days into our second session, so I thought I might pass on a few observations to you.  First, we had another wonderful 5 days with our rookies.  They sadly left us yesterday morning, but not without leaving all of us with tears and smiles.  Such a great group!  And as I see last year’s rookies running around this summer as full session campers, I know that these girls will bring their smile and energy back to us very soon.  So I’ll try to recap their few days with us, at least as much as I can remember!!!!  Weather wasn’t our friend on Monday, the first full day of 2nd session, so the rookies wee introduced to pillowcase BINGO, and then our highly creative Blue & White commissioners, Jenna and Julia S., and Jessie M., introduced a new Blue & White game called “Heads UP!”  All had a good time…!  By Tuesday the rookies were raring to get in the water and ski!  We set aside time for just them, so we could give them special instruction.  Sam S. and myself were in the water helping all our girls get up (or at least attempt!) on the boom, and by Wednesday they had all succeeded, at least for a bit!  We will have 7 new skiers next summer!  I miss those girls….

As for the rest of the girls, 2nd sessions starts FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!!!  Tuesday and yesterday were full days of activities.  We had a social Wednesday night with Camp Menominee, and last night was another B&W program, ‘Say What Karaoke”.  Man, were they rockin’ in Happy Camper Hall!  One of our activities, GIVE  (Get Involved Volunteer Everyday) went to a nursing home yesterday to play games and sing songs.  Terra M. made sure to hug each and every person before she left!

As for the rest of activities, our waterfront has been hopping!  Sailboats sailing, paddleboards paddling, skiers skiing, swimmers swimming, it’s been awesome!  As for the land activities, I know Nate has been busy at the tennis courts with both scheduled activities and his private lessons he’s been giving, our runners, walkers, joggers have been tearing up the paths!  I’m telling ya now…this camp is BUSY!

I hope that you have been having as much fun at home as we have been having here…!

Have a great day everyone,

MP
