This morning our final four teams met in the upper athletic field after breakfast to present their teams banner, skit, song and cheer.  The following four college teams will compete for the final 4 trophy: MIT, Xavier, Villanova and Auburn.  Competition was tough as every team prepared a strong opening ceremony. I was especially impressed with the quality of the banners and the spirit that was generated.  The Villanova Wildcats, dressed in white tanks, had a remarkable banner completed by the Wood sisters.  Xavier’s banner was equally as impressive.  Sydney Salit, Meredith Leon and Nikki Sheinkop, with strong support from their teams’ counselors, worked into the night to unveil their piece of art.  MIT’s presentation had everyone laughing as counselor Jordyn Kass took front and center as a nerdy MIT student. It was the best opening ceremonies I've witnessed in a few summers. 

Before lunch each age division participated in our opening relay races.   There were several heats that came down to the wire resulting in piercing loud screams. The afternoon was spent in series one and series two running from one activity to another. We had several water activities going on all at the same time. I personally rubbed preventative swimmer’s itch cream on many campers who couldn’t reach their back side. They thanked me, smiled and walked away resembling pink smurfs and smelling like lavender and eucalyptus. We will keep you posted on more Final 4 events especially the GONZO RELAY!

The next edition of the Agazine will be sent out very soon.  Amanda Kosmen was the only camper to sign up for Agazine for the last sign up.  She worked very hard and ended up writing every article in this edition with the help of chief editor, April Simpson.  Together they did a great job!  Look out for it in the mail in the next few days!

This evening, the girls finished the day with a Blue and White closing ceremony practice.  Ducky prepared a tasty cookout dinner of hamburgers, cheeseburgers and veggie burgers and as always an ice cream treat.
