Enter the username and password created when registering your daughter for camp.  There are approximately 9 separate “forms” some of which will generate online questionnaires and others that will require you to upload scanned or photographed copies of things like immunization records, insurance cards, etc.   If you have any questions or need help with completing any of the forms online, please don’t hesitate to contact us at: fun@agawak.com or by phone @ 715-356-5383.

Off to the Land Down Under!

The time of year has come again– Mary will be leaving in a few short days after the Chicago Reunion for the long trek to Australia!  While our staff hiring is nearly complete, each and ever year Camp Agawak attends the CCUSA Hiring Fairs in Melbourne and Sydney.  She’ll be scouting out the best of the best to round out our amazing staff team for the coming summer.  While she’s there, she’ll enjoying getting  to meet up with former Aussie staff as well as those returning for another summer on Blue Lake.  Mary is looking forward to seeing returning counselors: Alice, Erana, Lucy, Mel and many others while in the Land Down Under! We can’t wait to see what other great staff she hires while there!

Offseason Project: Cabin B Makeover

From year to year we strive to add new programs and update our exceptional facilities.  As supporters of Camp Agawak I hope you see your camp tuition dollars being spent in positive ways that enhance your daughter’s camp experience. This fall we added two new stairways making it safer for campers to walk the property. We also laid a beautiful new maple floor in the senior section of the lodge. Two days ago Cabin B’s renovation was successfully completed and upgraded.  I wonder which happy campers and counselors will be lucky enough to bunk there this summer? Even in the "off season" there is never an idle moment here at camp.

Director’s Corner

Soon To Be Happy Campers Again

Come January we can start feeling it again, seeing it again, and thinking about it again. The camp season is close! Hip hip hooray, you’re the excited girls today!  In five short months, you will be immersed in the fragrant pine forest of Agawak, cheering yourselves hoarse, devouring Duck’s winning recipes, spinning and singing in the long prep for Lip Sync. You will be laughing with cabin-mates, arms hooked, running and skipping down paths and up hills en route to cooking and archery and Blue-White
competition.

All of our hearts are filled with memories that will come to real life again, soon, so gloriously soon. Like lake swims and cool nights by the campfire, forging close friendships with strangers, as we romp wild through towering trees. Camp strengthens and empowers all parts of our character – mind, body and spirit. You know from your friendship circles at home that it is the girls who go to camp year after year who have the most formidable senses of adventure, perseverance, playfulness, & flexibility. We campers, young and old, learn independence at an early age and are then best equipped to confront challenges and transitions as we age with grit. What are your goals to accomplish this summer? Were you the camper that wasn’t quite able last season to get up on a slalom ski or reach the top of Tango Tower or complete the lake swim? Summer 2016 is YOUR time to keep pushing and trying new things knowing that if you keep going, giving it your best again and again –YOU”LL EVENTUALLY DO IT!

Camp Agawak is only a few years away from our 100th anniversary, and we know from our veteran campers, now mothers and grandmothers, that their summers at camp formed the finest parts of themselves. We hear over and over that living outdoors for several weeks, away from the rush of the city and into the hush of the woods, calms us and energizes us, both at the same time. Camp makes us feel fully alive, free, hungry for new experiences, open to making friends with people who can be different than us.

Agawak alumnae tell us how they sing Agawak songs to their children and grandchildren, and re-tell stories by flashlights they learned from counselors in the Agawak woods – decades ago. In five short months, your city selves, boggled with homework and sports teams and extra-curricular activities, will become camp selves, unsaddled and free. Start today thinking about goals you want to achieve this summer, new dreams you want to fulfill.

Anything is possible in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, beneath the sky so blue. Anything is possible because we’re Agawak girls, that’s who we are.  -Camp Hugs, Mary
