Camp Agawak is located in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the country; nestled away amongst tall pines, a gorgeous blue lake and acres upon acres of woods. Agawak is the definition of natural beauty. When you're here you can connect with nature and breathe in fresh Wisconsin air. Waking up to a view of tall pines and fresh north woods air is a nice change for kids who are used to the hustle and bustle of the big city. The beauty of Agawak and all that surrounds it is so good for the heart, mind and soul.

Agawak exposes campers to things they normally wouldn't see and experience back home in the city. They learn to find excitement and joy in nature and doing things outside. I truly believe it awakens something in them that they just can't find in an urban setting.

Let's not forget about the beauty of camp friends as well. Agawak friends are unlike any other friends that help shape who you become as a person. Over time, their significance is immense and immeasurable.

Agawak friends tend to tell it to you straight.  Whether in moments of happiness or moments of frustration, your camp friends will be honest with you. They will point out your weaknesses not as an attempt to hurt your feelings instead they're trying to help you to grow as a person.  Agawak friends are with you through it all.....the ups and the downs. Your camp friends will see you at your best and at your worst. Agawak friends have a way of making you forget about the bad and help you to move forward with the good. With camp friends in your corner nothing can keep you down for long.

The friendships you develop at Agawak will develop one moment and one experience at a time. The longer you're together at camp the more significant and impactful the friendship becomes. Possibly the best thing about camp friends is that they don't just make an impact and leave. They’re with you throughout your life, even after your time at camp has ended, to help you better yourself as a person. After you leave camp, whether you talk once a day, once a month or even once a year their loyalty is unmatched. No matter what each of you become down the road, you will always be camp friends first.

Although it's only January, summer you will be here before we know it and the gates of Agawak will be wide open for all of you to enjoy the beauty and special friendships that surrounds you.
