New activities on a sunny day!

It was another beautiful day on the shores of blue lake. The sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky as we met at flagpole for our cheer…

G-O-O-D M-O-R-N-I-N-G!

We began flagpole by announcing our camper and counselor of the day. Our camper of the day is a new camper to camp who joined us second session. Although, you would never know that Kylie Cohen was a first year camper. She fits into camp seamlessly, knows all the cheers and songs and always has the biggest smile plastered on her face. Our counselor of the day, Stephanie Gutmann, who is a second year counselor, continues to do an exceptional job each day.  Her campers adore her and she is always leading by example. After flagpole we had a wonderful pancake breakfast before heading back to our cabins for a cabin clean-up.

When the bell rang for first period, campers were running to start their new activities. Campers had the chance to sign up for their last set of activities yesterday. With just 2 activity days left after today, the girls were eager and ready to give 100% in activities.

At lunch this morning, we had many girls share what they completed for the very first time. While I wish I could share them all, here are some highlights!

     • All of cabin 15 went to the climbing tower and climbed together! They worked together to help    each other climb and zip!

     • All of cabin 7 signed up for boot camp this morning and they said they had a blast! The counselors gave them a workout that is sure to leave them sore!

     • Anna Vaqueiro tried paddle boarding for the first time and loved it!

     • Maddie Gold successfully did a pullover on the bar in gymnastics after working on this for a while!

     • Emma Herzog climbed to the top of the Tango Tower and Hadyn Revell also climbed a new side of the tower and made it!

     • Rachel Rosen has been practicing skiing all summer and made it aroun the lake on the rope today for the first time!

     • After working hard in gymnastics, Emma Morgan successfully did a cartwheel off the balance

beam.

I wish I could share what all of the campers did today in activities but we will be sure to give more updates tomorrow! It is hard to believe that tomorrow is already Friday and our camp countdown for the summer is growing even shorter. It always amazes me that as I get older, each summer seems to go quicker than the one prior. After 21 summers at camp, I am still amazed by this beautiful camp. The spirit, friendship and sisterhood that surrounds us each day truly makes one feel special. For all of you back home, I know that you are anxiously waiting as your daughter gets off the bus or plane to give them their first post camp hug!  At camp, we will be cherishing our last few nights together as a camp family!

Have a wonderful evening!
