Good Morning Everyone,

Well, well, well, we are close!!!  I got up early this morning and went down to the office to see our staff off to Chicago.  They are excited to see both new and returning campers at the buses!  One last night alone in camp.  Mary and the office staff have been very busy placing our staff together in cabins.  As you might expect, this involves a lot of personality juggling.  It’s actually an art form!  It was cute how the office staff sent all the girls on a scavenger hunt, running to each cabin to find out where they were going to live and who their co’s were going to be.  What was awesome was how when each group came down, they were chanting “CUTEST CO’S”!!!  That’s an award the staff votes on at the end of the year.  So funny.   I want to give a public shout out to Mary and her amazing office staff for the job that they have been doing.

We have been very busy with activities, alternative programming, Blue/White, inter-camp competition, etc.  Lots going on here!  But last night the girls took the opportunity to do some last minute washing and/or an opportunity to go out to dinner as a big group.  This staff has really come together.  Even during pre-pre-camp, when our first-time staff comes up a few days early just to get acclimated, we could all sense what a wonderful group of young ladies we were so fortunate to assemble.  And to see how they and the returning staff have gotten along is just a pleasure to watch.

As we speak, the guys are sorting out lots of bags and are going to be dispersing them around camp.  That’s one really big, and heavy, job, so I’m really glad we have a lot of strong young guys to take that on!

So I just want to close out by telling everyone that we are counting down the hours and minutes (not days!) till you arrive.  The ski staff and I have all the boats and tubes ready to get out there on the lake and have a blast.  I know it will be hard for many of you to sleep tonight, but trust me, your parents will probably get less sleep than you.  But that’s ok, because all you girls ARE COMING HOME!!!

So from Mary and the rest of the staff of 2011, get ready, cause soon you’ll be back in heaven!!!
