We’re off to a wonderful precamp start. The hugs are over in the office trying to type this entry however; I can’t even hear myself think. Camp is LOUD alive and happy. The sound of crickets are now drowned out by counselor voices in the night air. Everyone scheduled to arrive today is here safe and sound. All is well.
Returning counselors are already busy preparing for the staff show. Tonight Beth G. serenaded me the top three possibilities for the opening staff show song. All three were brilliant. How could I choose just one? So we’re going with all three. This afternoon our returning international counselors helped teach those old familiar Agawak songs to all the new staff. Just like campers the staff completed physicals today and are anxious to officially start precamp at 8am tomorrow morning.
I’m off to work on cabin groups. It’s the toughest job there is for a camp director. Goodnight.
Smile on
