The first half of our summer has come to a close. For many of us, it’s bittersweet having to say goodbye to the friends we’ve laughed, played, and grown with over the past several weeks. The bonds forged at Camp Agawak are strong, and parting ways is never easy. Our session together went all too quickly. We miss our camp sisters who are now home with their families.
Yet, amidst the melancholy of farewells, there is also excitement in the air. The second half of summer beckons with the promise of more new friendships waiting to be made. While we cherish the moments spent with our first session camp sisters…. we also look forward to the many camp adventures that lie ahead. The second half of summer holds the thrill of meeting new cabin-mates, exploring more activities and learning from each other.
As we navigate the transition from farewells to new beginnings, let’s treasure the memories we’ve created so far and embrace the friendships and adventures that await us. After all, each goodbye is a stepping stone to a new hello—a chance to grow, learn, and make more unforgettable memories with everyone who’s just arrived.
Monday morning, our CIT’s leave for their annual Boundary Waters canoe trip. They have been honing their canoe and portaging skills all week. The simplicity of life in the Boundary Waters is something not many get to experience. Days are marked by the rhythm of paddling, the beauty of sunsets, and the camaraderie around a warm campfire. Amidst the solitude of the wilderness, our girls have the space for introspection and personal growth. Nestled in northern Minnesota, this wilderness of interconnected lakes and forests offers more than just breathtaking scenery…..it’s a classroom where our oldest girls can learn important lessons which will resonate long after the trip ends. When the CIT’s return on Saturday they will share stories and songs of their adventures in the wilderness.
For everyone back at camp, we’ll be going full-speed ahead into activities after the CIT’s pull-out.
