Messy Mania

One of the most cherished aspects of our time spent together is the array of silly and wacky games we play that seem to defy all logic yet brings endless joy to campers of all ages. Messy Mania took center stage Wednesday night after a morning of Blue and White competition and an afternoon luau. During Messy Mania, campers raced to make themselves into human sundaes, passed sticky oranges under their chins, lathered each other up in whipping cream, decorated themselves with cheese balls and ate Oreo cookies without using their hands.

We have a roster of silly games that have been passed down through generations of campers. These games are more than just silly games they’re games that bring campers together. I think what sets Messy Mania apart from other games is its delightful absurdity. Messy Mania defies seriousness and embraces the sheer joy of letting loose, getting messy and having fun without a care in the world. Tonight, everyone got to be a young kid!

As the sun set tonight, echoes of laughter and cheers from this silly game lingered in the air, long after campers hit the showers. These silly games we play aren’t just frivolous games, they’re the heartbeat of camp life, where silliness reigns supreme and joy knows no bounds. Whether our campers are seasoned campers or newcomers, I hope they embraced the spirit of play and they were able to let their inner child run wild tonight. The shared laughter and camaraderie which took place today left me feeling blessed to be a part of this extraordinary sisterhood.
