What a week it’s been at Camp Agawak! From midweek adventures to Fourth of July festivities and the excitement of Olympic Day, our campers packed in unforgettable memories, laughter, and plenty of spirit.
Wednesday brought sunshine and smiles as campers rotated through their favorite program areas, soaking in the summer magic. During rest period, Olympic Day and Lip Sync practice kicked into gear. That night, we danced the evening away at a fun-filled social with Camp Timberlane- it was great to see friends, with lots of laughs all around!
Thursday was another action-packed day under blue skies. During rest hour, the Agawak Dance Team gave a dazzling performance- and if you tuned in on the livestream, I’m sure you could feel the energy from miles away! That night, evening program was a camp favorite: Food Olympics, where campers got slightly messy but had a lot of fun.
Friday: Fourth of July 🇺🇸
We kicked off Fourth of July with a spirit-filled flagpole and cabin cleanup before heading into downtown Minocqua for the annual parade! Campers explored town, picked up a few treasures, and then hit the streets dancing to “Walking on Sunshine,” lighting up the crowd with Agawak pride. Back at camp, we enjoyed a classic hot dog dinner before heading to the lake for the Min-aqua Bats waterski show- featuring our very own Agawak boat drivers! The night ended with fireworks and full hearts.
Saturday: Slow & Sweet 😌
Saturday was made for rest and recharging. Campers eased into the day with lazy pancakes and cozy clothes, signed up for new activities, and enjoyed some well-earned downtime. Evening program was all about final prep for Olympic Day – where teams brought their A-game and excitement was in the air.
Sunday: Olympic Day! 🏅
Spirit. Teamwork. Musical mayhem! Olympic Day 2025 was themed around Broadway’s best…Wicked, Hairspray, Hamilton, and Mamma Mia. We kicked off with Opening Ceremonies and a high-energy staff dodgeball game before diving into team competitions that spanned both sports and strategy. The grand finale? A wild game of Commando to close out an epic day.
