Hello everybody!
I hope this blog finds everybody doing and feeling well especially because that’s how we are feeling here at our summer home. Over the weekend most of our International staff arrived and our American staff began rolling in and by Tuesday night we were in full swing. Ahh the energy in this beautiful place just cracked open!
Yesterday was gorgeous and we spent the day getting to know one another and reacquainting ourselves with old friends. We then spent some time with activity preparations and activity introductions. We have many returning staff who have a lot of experience is various activities but it is always nice to bring in new blood new ideas to our already wonderful activity programs. We never like to rest on our laurels but are always looking to improve every aspect of camp. We have a very nice mix of old veterans and new staff and all of this is going quite smoothly. Before dinner the staff began working on our opening staff show which we promise to be bigger and grander than most of you have ever seen!
On to a few housekeeping updates…
• Our new website is up but we are still working out some of the unexpected but expected glitches so please be patient with us.
• We want to once again remind everyone of our NO PACKAGE POLICY. Our first package arrived today and is being returned as we speak.
• We also want to let everyone who will be taking the buses to know that we have several campers with nut allergies. Thus we must insist that when you pack your daughter her lunch NO PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICHES!!! Actually no nut butter sandwiches of any kind. There are always lots of alternatives and no one wants to run the risk of an allergic reaction. And no we are not going to sequester those with allergies onto one bus.
We have a lot of prep ahead of us all of which is leading up to our precious campers’ arrival. We hope you are as excited as us for the upcoming summer so stay posted as we will be filling you in on all of our prep activities. We ARE here you are ALMOST here and the summer of 2012 is upon us!!!
Stay in touch!
